Hi there!
With over 30 years of experience in Australia and the United States my work has spanned child, youth, and family services, social policy & research, youth homelessness, child protection, cultural planning, employment and training, and deeply meaningful work supporting members of the Stolen Generations. From the frontline to management, these diverse experiences have shaped my strategic, trauma-informed approach to leadership, coaching, and systems transformation.
I walk alongside purpose-led individuals, teams, and organisations to co-create powerful shifts that reconnect us to self, culture, and community and reimagine leadership through the lens of self-determination, reciprocity, and alignment with our deepest values.
As a coach and consultant, I create spaces for clarity, truth-telling, and transformation. Whether I’m guiding a leadership team through courageous conversations, walking alongside an Aboriginal staff member carrying cultural load, or supporting an individual to reconnect with their voice and vision, my focus is the same: sovereignty, identity, and reconnection.
This isn’t just professional work, it’s ancestral work. It’s personal. It’s powerful. And it’s deeply potent.
My work is grounded in three sacred values:
Sovereignty is our birthright
I honour self-determination at every level, in how we lead, heal, advocate, and walk through the world.
Identity is power
Our stories, culture, and ancestors live within us. Leadership and transformation begin when we embrace who we truly are.
Reconnection is medicine
When we pause, listen deeply, and return to what’s sacred, we find the clarity and courage to move forward in alignment.

I walk with those doing brave, transformational work.
I support:
- Organisations and leadership teams ready to create culturally safe, trauma-aware, and relational workplaces.
- First Nations and staff with intersecting or marginalised identities navigating systemic barriers, burnout, and leadership pathways.
- Individuals and changemakers ready to reclaim their power, shift generational patterns, and walk in their truth.
My approach is grounded, relatable, and culturally centred, honouring ancestral wisdom and lived experience, strengthened by professional expertise, and guided by respect for community, culture, and Country.
As a self-proclaimed late bloomer, I’ve taken the long road to get here, a path shaped by deep healing, conscious reinvention, and powerful lessons. I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from self and spirit, and I’ve done the work to return to wholeness.

As someone who has survived family violence and the impacts of trauma, I’ve walked the path of healing, and I meet others with understanding and care. These lived experiences inform the heart of my work today.
I serve with compassion, clarity, and a deep belief in what’s possible for you, your team, and your community.
Behind it all, the role I treasure most is being a mum to Dakota, Aijah and Cielle and walking this life alongside my husband Damien,
From frontline crisis work to sacred facilitation, from systems advocacy to spiritual reconnection, I’ve lived the very healing and leadership journey I now guide others through.
You’re here for a reason. Let’s walk forward together.
I loved the whole workshop, I was so immersed in the space and felt comfortable.
Yolanda your energy and vibe is next level and totally fills my cup.
Impact Statement
I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations and pay my deepest respects to their Elders and Ancestors. I extend that respect to all First Nations people across the globe. I recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. It always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
I believe we each have a role to play in disrupting systems of oppression and creating spaces where healing, justice, and connection can thrive. My work is grounded in the belief that collective care, cultural integrity, and truth-telling are essential to breaking cycles of generational trauma and injustice
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are woven into every layer of my practice. I honour and uplift the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and am committed to creating safe, culturally strong, and inclusive spaces where all identities are respected and valued.
I actively work to create spaces of safety, dignity, and belonging for all clients, regardless of age, education, culture, ethnicity, race, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, body size, nation of origin, religion, disability, or socioeconomic background. I recognise the unique challenges faced by people from marginalised communities and aim to ensure that every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.
My Commitments to Inclusive Practice
- Centre Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, leadership, and sovereignty in all areas of my work
- Create culturally safe, decolonised, and trauma-aware experiences
- Respect cultural protocols and community values
- Foster inclusive environments that are free from racism, lateral violence, harassment, and discrimination
- Honour and welcome people of all identities, across age, culture, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, body, religion, ability, and lived experience
- Consistently improve accessibility, inclusion, and safety and invite feedback from community to continue learning
- Provide an equitable pricing structure that centres First Nations women and gender-diverse people, recognising that financial access is impacted by systemic inequity and generational trauma
